Why are we walking?
Some years ago Bryony Daly, contracted cancer at age 9 which she battled for many years until she passed away in 2004 age 23yrs. Along the way she received conventional therapies including the amputation of her leg. Her parents investigated many possible alternative treatments that might provide some healing potential. In their research they encountered a confusion of information, testimonials and claims but very little guidance about what might really help her particular cancer. Bryony’s last bout was misdiagnosed and consequently she was not able to receive the best treatment in time to help her. Her tragic life, filled with bravery and humor was the inspiration for the formation of the charity YESTOLIFE by her father, Robin.
YESTO LIFE provides a valuable service to people diagnosed with cancer to help, advise and support them in the search for care and healing. Many cancer sufferers and their families have been helped already. You can read more at www.yestolife.org.uk
So –last year Bryony’s sister, Myrren got married and for gifts she and her fiancé asked for donations to YESTOLIFE. We decided that a sponsored walk would be a great wedding gift and so we are setting out in June to raise as much money as we can for this worthy cause.
